Editorial Policy
How we plan, write and maintain useful health information.
Scope and purpose
Health Fitnesses publishes educational content about health, fitness, nutrition, wellness and interactive tools. Pages should have a clear purpose and should not exist only to target a keyword.
Source selection
Writers should prefer primary research, systematic reviews, professional guidelines and authoritative public-health or academic sources. Commercial sources may be used for product-specific facts but should not be the sole basis for important health claims.
Writing standards
- Use clear language and explain technical terms.
- Distinguish evidence, estimates and opinion.
- Avoid sensational headlines and guaranteed outcomes.
- Use descriptive internal links that genuinely help the reader.
- Do not add fake statistics, ratings, testimonials, author credentials or reviewer claims.
Health and YMYL review
Medical or clinically sensitive claims receive greater scrutiny. When qualified professional review is performed, the reviewer name, credentials and review date should be shown. If no such review occurred, the page must not imply that it did.
Updates and corrections
Pages should be updated when guidance materially changes, a source becomes outdated, an error is found, or the calculator method changes. A “last updated” date should reflect a meaningful content change rather than a cosmetic date refresh.
AI-assisted work
AI may assist with drafting, coding, organization or editing, but factual health claims and calculator methods still require source checking. Automated output is not treated as a source.
